Become an After the Storm volunteer.

After the Storm partners with Emergency Response Teams to assist with response and recovery. Our teams come at the invitation of the community, and are highly trained. 

We are also looking for those with specialized construction skills. Is that you? Join our list of volunteer experts. We’ll reach out when families have specific needs.

Take the first step

Disasters are dangerous. Train ahead to offer real help when the storm strikes.

After the Storm partners with The Michigan Conference of The United Methodist Church to prepare and equip teams to respond when disaster strikes. Emergency Response Teams are highly trained and enter disaster-affected communities by invitation only.  Some prepare to serve only the local community. Some teams are also willing to help other Michigan communities. Are you interested in joining a local team, or forming a new one? Let us know.
