Disaster Case Management for Michigan’s Storm Survivors

When severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding devastated nine Michigan counties in August 2023, recovery became an uphill battle for thousands of families. Through a federally funded disaster case management program, After the Storm is stepping in to help survivors navigate their long-term recovery.

Thanks to a multi-million dollar FEMA grant, After the Storm is hiring and training local case managers who will work directly with those affected in Oakland, Macomb, Wayne, Monroe, Kent, Ionia, Eaton, Ingham, and Livingston counties. These dedicated professionals will provide personalized support, helping survivors access financial assistance, rebuild their homes, and regain stability.

Recovery doesn’t happen overnight, but with the right resources and support, families can move forward. After the Storm is committed to ensuring no one has to face this journey alone.
