PORTAGE, Mich. — The Michigan-based nonprofit organization ‘After the Storm’ is offering supportive resources for those still recovering from the tornadoes that ripped through west Michigan in May.
“There are a lot of individuals who help out in the short term with cleanup, but they really want to focus on individuals who have long-term impacts and helping them put their lives back together,” said Adam Herringa, Chief Operating Officer for the City of Portage.
The nonprofit aims to offer more long-term solutions to people’s problems, rather than just clean up branches in their yard.
